Feel good projects

Every now and again we get to work on a project that fills our hearts and our minds.

They can be anything from a big series of A4 reports (with a crazy deadline) to a small but impactful annual report, through to designs that are out of the ordinary for us.

The common thread is that these projects matter and will help create change.

Inaugural Annual Report

Australian Democracy Network

This is very much an example of where we get to fill our cup by doing the work we love (and are good at), for people who are ‘doing good work’. By no means was this the largest nor most complicated report we have designed, but it was full of the most inspiring content!

Tourism keepsake

Merimbula Guide

Merimbula is magical – at the heart of the Sapphire Coast it is blessed with pristine waterways, stunning beaches and breathtaking national parks.

The opportunity to work on a guide book and matching map to promote this part of Australia was one of our recent highlights. It gave us an opportunity to take an erstwhile booklet of some editorial and mis-matched ads, and working with both a writer and the client, to turn this promotional set into something more like a keepsake.

• A5 format • 52pp • typesetting • close client liaison

Gladstone Region Transition Plan

The Next Economy collaborated with Gladstone Regional Council to develop the detailed roadmap, which is the result of two years of research and extensive engagement involving 220 community, government and industry stakeholders. This included industry representatives, First Nations people, energy workers, environment groups and education and training institutions. LGP was honoured to develop the design and related timelines for this keystone report.

Pure poetry

Of Nocturnes and Loss Property

While we have designed a number of ‘trade books / paperbacks’ the opportunity to design a poetry book (or two) presented several challenges which resolved into great joy.

Sharon France has turned wild thread into publishisable poetry. We can’t wait to work with her again.
