For many of our clients, producing a publication can be a new and complex experience. We have developed a short seminar, covering everything from inception to design and print, to help this process run smoothly for everyone. It will help you save time and money.
Session One: Preparing for perfection
We will cover the design process and talk about how best to be prepared when
briefing a designer, what the designer is expecting and what the basic processes
are.
Session Two: Pitfalls
We take an in-depth look at some of the common problem areas. There are some
basic things that can be easily avoided to save time and money. We will touch
on getting the brief right, what to expect at concepts stage, making corrections
and changes and what timelines to expect.
Session Three: Practicalities of print
We look at the end process—printing and what happens when the publication
gets handed over to the printer. This is our touchy-feely segment, with lots
to look at. You will take away some interesting information that will hopefully
round out your knowledge on producing a publication for print.
Extras
We will give you checklists, a glossary of common terms and some other goodies
which we know will come in handy when you are preparing to produce a document
and when you actually deal with printers and designers.
